The Los Angeles Clippers franchise has always taken a backseat to their LA counterparts, the Lakers, until now. The Clippers have never has so much optimism headed into a season as this one. The team, which started as the Buffalo Braves in 1970 as an expansion team along with the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Portland Trail Blazers, has only had 6 winning teams in 41 seasons. He looks to be the perfect complement to Blake Griffin, who is coming into his own and has a legitimate shot to be the teams only league MVP other than Bob McAdoo in 1975. With a starting lineup that adds the athletic DeAndre Jordan, savvy veteran Chauncey Billups, and gritty Caron Butler, to Griffin and Paul, the Clippers first 5 should be as strong as any in the NBA. Coming off the bench in the backcourt is Eric Bledsoe, Randy Foye, and Mo Williams. The only weakness seems to be frontcourt depth with Ryan Gomes being the only one expected to get significant time.
