The controversial musical "The Book of Mormon" by the creators of "South Park" is one of the biggest hits Broadway has seen in years, winning over critics and audiences alike. The combination of edgy content and raw star power from the young cast has made this show a nine-time Tony award winner.
The Book of Mormon tells the story of two young Mormon missionaries sent to a remote village in northern Uganda, where a brutal warlord is threatening the local population. Naive and optimistic, the two missionaries try to share their scriptures-which only one of them knows very well-but have trouble connecting with the locals, who are worried about famine, poverty, and AIDS. There are a few cameo appearances during the show from Yoda, the Devil and Lt. Uhura.
Book of Mormon Broadway tickets are sold out well into 2013 and if you are unable to win tickets in the daily lottery, sold out Broadway show tickets are available daily at Bubba's Got Tickets. The Book of Mormon is running ahead of the number one show of all time, The Lion King and in front of Wicked the Musical. The Mormon hit has been a welcome site to Broadway ticket sales. Pantages Theatre in LA is the No. 2 selling venue in the country and Eugene O'Neill Theatre on Broadway is No. 4.
Weekend performances are generally more expensive and some tickets are available just hours before the show!

Advice from viewers: Do not buy the CD version of the music first as it will ruin the punch lines. Do not take young children or anyone easily offended by bad language. Bathrooms are limited, so expect to wait.
