The Rams are members of the Western Division of the National Football Conference, in the National Football League. Originally the Rams started playing in 1936 in Cleveland Ohio, and the NFL considers the franchise as the second incarnation of the Cleveland Rams from the original American Football League. The team moved to Los Angeles in 1946, and then finally moved to St. Louis just prior to the 1995 season.
After Scott Linehan was removed from the team in 2008, Steve Spagnuolo was brought in and named new head coach. He hired Pat Shurmur and Ken Flajole as offensive and defensive coordinator respectively.
In 2009, the St. Louis Dispatch reported that the Rams were for sale, but at the moment no one has bought the team. In the meantime, Spagnuolo has recruited more veteran players to fill out the ranks and hopes to bring the Rams back to the top.
